oops :(

So I haven't been on in a long while, sorry about that....to anyone who's reading....IF anyone is reading....

Anyways, I have a new mascara to review which will happen in my next post.

It's the new Extra Volume Collagen mascara by L'Oreal.

Its a Hydra Collagen Plumping mascara that promises all day wear with No Clumps, No Flakes, No Smudges.

(but thats basically what every mascara promises, so nothing new there, right.)

Then! It says that you get TWELVE (12) times MORE impact, Instantly.
With an 'Instant Impact brush, custom designed to to grab each and every lash.'

So, basically, it's all things you've heard before from a number of commercials. Is it really that new?

hm.

I guess the only thing that makes this mascara stand out from the rest is the fact that there is collagen in the product. Does it really work though? Does collagen make a difference for something like eyelashes??

On the commercial, it promises and shows you this huge brush.

Its definitely not as big as its made out to be, I can tell you that right now.
But then again, your eyelashes are never as big as what they show on the commercials either.
(they're fake, I know).

I almost thought I bought the wrong one when I opened it. The brush is average.
Looks like any other kind you can buy, it aint nothin special.

(and ofcourse my stupid self bought black brown....UGH.)

Also I was looking though pictures of this on the internet and its almost as if there's two different kinds ?!?! What the heck?

aaaanyways. Hopefully this wasnt a waste of money!

I'll get back to this later on and post pictures of my result, etc etc.

ttyl ;)

Hypnose by Lancome

Alright, So here's my review of Hypnose mascara.

I bought this from http://www.amazon.com for $22.00. Not a very cheap mascara!
Since I heard so many good reviews, I tried it out myself to see if it really was the next best thing.
(Not that I need to add to my mountain of mascaras). Anyways, it promises six times the volume that wont smear, smudge, or clump. (You can see most of the information on my previous post, as well as a picture)

So this was my result:
As you can see, I did get a lot of length, but not so much volume :(
It added a nice curl, but I felt that it left my lashes sort-of thin and clumped together.

So, I recommend this to someone who doesn't need a volumizing mascara, and just wants some length. You can do a natural look with this with one coat, or go a bit thicker like I did with two to three coats.

Hope you found this helpful :)

Thanks! xoxo

first post!

Well, here we go....

Just getting myself started in the whole "make up reviews" scene. I would like to eventually join everyone on YouTube with my own videos (but I might need a video recorder first :x )

I guess I'll start with my FIRST EVER review then :o!

A couple days ago I bought a mascara called 'Revlon Double Twist', thinking it would be a really great mascara because I have never seen a wand like this, and it looked promising.

I bought it at Target for $9.99, and I actually got two for one. (They both came in one package).

So I was all excited to look up reviews for it and see what other people thought. (look for reviews after buying....? umm....)
Well its safe to say that if I had researched it before, I probably wouldn't have bought it. Nobody seemed to like it, and nothing good was said. It was an overall 1-2 out of 5 stars.

It was a major bummer to hear that, but I tried it anyways....

And to be honest, I really liked it.

Maybe I'm just crazy? Not sure. But I didn't come across any clumping, and it held the shape of my lashes which were nicely separated, long, and had a little curl.

(pictures will be at the bottom)

Now here's a picture of the mascara, wand, and a description:

  • MASSIVE Volume. REMARKABLE Definition.
  • Revolutionary 2-in-1 brush.
  • Thickening Brush + Separating Combs = The Ultimate Lash Look
  • Available in 2 non-waterproof shades.
  • Also available in non-waterproof formula. <-(from the revlon website)

"Volumizing Mascara
Revolutionary brush combines traditional bristles with innovative defining bristles for luscious volume and remarkable definition. Apply mascara to lashes as usual.

Ophthalmologist-tested. Safe for contact lens wearers and sensitive eyes."

And here are my results:
